Good Dog, a new 1,850 square foot dog walking, boarding and daycare facility in the Pearl neighborhood, will open December 8 at 132 W. Grayson St., Ste. 150.

According to a press release, Good Dog is owned and operated by Steven and Kaylee Bell, who returned to South Texas after running a dog day care center in Dallas.

Good Dog is designed to be a safe and fun environment for small dogs weighing 35 pounds or less or less than 15 inches tall at the shoulder, the release said. However, Good Dog will offer walks for dogs of all sizes.

“We really can’t wait to be a part of the Pearl neighborhood and be able to serve the dogs and dog owners here,” Steven Bell said in the release. “We have a wonderful space where every decision has been made to create a great experience for small dogs – we hope the community likes it. “

The facility includes two indoor play areas and two outdoor play areas in addition to individual indoor kennels.

Good Dog’s babysitting and walking services are based on a monthly subscription, while boarding services are offered to guests at a per night rate.

Additional enrichment games and one-on-one time with dogs are available as an add-on. Although boarding and boarding services apply to small dogs due to space limitations, 30 minute and one hour walks are available for dogs of all sizes and take place in the Pearl neighborhood and in the San Antonio River Walk Museum Reach. Pearl’s COO Mesha Millsap said in the statement that Good Dog will complement the Emma Hotel and the mix of dining and shopping options at Pearl, the mixed-use development.

“Good Dog is a great addition to the Pearl District,” Millsap said in the release. “Pearl has always been dog-friendly, and we’re thrilled to welcome a great team of professionals to better meet the needs of our community and their dogs. “

Good Dog will be open to customers from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
